EMPTY HEAD: The Animation

When writing the Empty Head novels, I was mainly inspired by action anime and this animation was a way for me to breathe more life into that vision. As such I drew heavy reference from all kinds of Japanese 2D animation to discover a way to get the look I wanted just right. After choosing a backing song that fit perfectly, I focused on highlighting scenes from the novels in a way that expressed that kind of energetic action I had wanted to convey in the original words.
