In making this short film I wanted to create a piece that will allow me to explore action animation, particularly within the animatic concept stage. This allowed me to improve on what I already know and push myself to learn new things. By experimenting in this area I am able to expand my portfolio into the area in which I wish to work.

The idea of dune racing within movies or tv shows has rarely been explored as a form of sport or competition despite existing as an actual sport, and so this concept was perfect for me to both explore as something new and as something challenging.
